Our Annual Fall Native Plant Sale (online only) will be held Sept 11 at 9am thru Sept 14 at 6pm.

Our Sept 21 pickup day coincides with the RIPE AREA: The Art of Native Plants Festival at Wakamatsu Farm. Join us in partnership with American River Conservancy & Myrtle Tree Arts to celebrate California native plants!

The RIPE AREA Festival will be held Sunday, September 21 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Wakamatsu Farm, 941 Cold Springs Road, Placerville, CA 95667

We need volunteers for our plant pickup day and the RIPE AREA Festival. Please choose one or more shifts, and you’ll receive a thank-you gift plant for each shift worked!

Once you’ve signed up, we will want to know your preferences for gift plants. We can’t promise you will get a specific plant, however between Sept 10 (the day before the sale begins) and Sept 14 at 6pm (the last day of the sale), visit our plant sale catalog and email a wishlist of three plants in order of preference to edcplantsale@yahoo.com. We will do our best to get the plant you want from our growers!

Plant Pickup Day Volunteers

6:30am to 10:30am - Boxing Orders. 14 volunteers needed. Duties Include: - Unloading plants from a truck. - Grouping plant orders into boxes.

10:30am to 1:00pm - Loading Orders - Slots Full.

Sunday, Sept 21

RIPE AREA Morning Tables

Select one table for the morning shift.

10:00am to 1:00pm - Conservation Table. 2 volunteers needed. Duties Include: - Engaging with visitors regarding our CNPS Chapter’s conservation eﬀorts.

10:00am to 1:00pm - Homegrown Habitat Table. 2 volunteers needed - experienced native plant gardeners only please! Duties Include: - Engaging with visitors about native plant gardening.

10:00am to 1:00pm - Plant Sale Table - Slots Full.

RIPE AREA Afternoon Tables

Select one table for the afternoon shift.

1:00pm to 4:00pm - Homegrown Habitat Table. 2 volunteers needed - experienced native plant gardeners only please! Duties Include: - Engaging with visitors about native plant gardening. - Break down of shade/popups and tables.

1:00pm to 4:00pm - Plant Sale Table. 2 volunteers needed - experienced native plant gardeners only please! Duties Include: - Filling plant orders. - Loading plants into customer's cars. - Break down of shade/popups and tables.
